Poem #3: Never Scared

it’s fun to wonder
what might be
if we were never scared

nervous about a bell
that can’t be unrung
something or everything
that can’t be undone

uphill battles
and unsaid words
the forbidden girl
or a life that’s blurred

what will he think
what will she do
left with nothing
a different shade of blue

is it
better to wonder
or better to be
if we were never scared
